Heaven found in Malaysia!

After finishing as well the Englis translation of my thesis Susi and me took the chance to explore Malaysia and decided for an amazing island in the South China Sea, near Mersing: Pulau Rawa. That was an excellent decision, better than any bustours with grannys to Malaka. After arriving with the bus from Singapore we had accomodation in Mersing and enjoyed English movies, that are shown in the restaurants as “open air” cinema. Next morning we started with the ferry to Rawa. After one hour a cute little island shown up with beautiful white beaches and rocky cliffs around – a bit like Hollywood but for real!
Tow days of snorkeling in the corals with fishes and sea urchin, canoeing around the island and sunbathing in the sun with 30 degrees and more followed and were crowned by barbecue on the sea while watching the sunset. Relaxed and tanned we went back home to Singapore and will for sure visit Malaysia a next time – with its amazing landscape, friendly people and great seaside!
